First-Time Freshmen Mid-Term Grade Review Process (The Party Is Over)

The first semester for first-time freshmen is pivotal to academic success and graduation. Beginning this fall, all first-time freshmen will have their mid-term grades reviewed by the Office of University Advising and the Registrar.

University Office of e-Campus Learning

As of Summer 2011, the e-Campus Center formerly established in the College of Justice and Safety has become the Office of e-Campus Learning for all Eastern's current and future online programs. Tim Matthews, who has successfully directed CJS's online programs, has been named Executive Director of e-Campus Learning. Dr.

Aviation Program

The Professional Flight option in the Aviation program prepares students to pursue careers in the aerospace industry. Over the past 18 months, EKU has taken over the complete operation of the Professional Flight program. This includes performing all flight operations, acquiring aircraft, scheduling of maintenance, and hiring of flight instructors.

University Diversity Plan

The Eastern Kentucky University Comprehensive Diversity Plan was approved by the Committee for Equal Opportunity (CEO) of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) on June 9, 2011. It has now been approved by the EKU Board of Regents.

EKU FERPA Training

The U.S. Department of Education has been closely monitoring universities to determine whether an institution has been providing Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) training for its employees with access to student records.
